How to change a Lan crimp end
Step1: We have to buy a Lan cable and the RJ-45 connector as shown below
Step2: Now run the knife around the cable, and the jacket should slide off easily. There will be 4 pairs of twisted wires exposed, each of them a different color or color combination.
Step3: Fold the combination of the wires to expose the core of the cable.
Step4: Cut the core and discard it.
Step5: Now straighten the wire and cut them equally.
Step6: Arrange the pairs of the wire according to the diagram given below.
Step7:Insert the wires into the RJ-45 connector, making sure that they stay aligned and each color goes into its appropriate channel.
Step8:Use the crimping tool to crimp the RJ-45 connector to the cable by pressing the jacket and cable into the connector so that the wedge at the bottom of the connector is pressed into the jacket.
Step9:Connect the both ends of the cable to cable tester to ensure that it is working well.
